Thank you, thank you, Thank YOU, to our friends who came out The Season Finale of The African Table where we enjoyed a delicious Taste of Senegal! It was a fun night of music, good food and great company! A heartfelt thank you to all our awesome guests and supporters who came out this past Friday, 1/30, to The Taste of Egypt! We enjoyed some Egyptian cultural talks, ancient healthy food facts, amazing food by Chef Grace and a curated art showcase by Sylvia Nagy.
We discussed and answered some of these questions: What were the brilliant ancient Africans eating? How were the foods prepared? Why did they eat this way? as we enjoyed some amazing and healthy cuisine from Africa’s earliest dynasty!

A Caribbean Christmas was an amazing and spicy occasion for all who attended! Wonderfully talented artists- Congolese drummer and musician, Nkumu Katalay blessed the audience with a calming drum solo, followed by a heated up performance from up & coming local Jamaican dancehall artist, Rico Hype. Last but certainly not least, THE Bajan Poet, Negus Adeyemi, wowed the audience with his tribute to Barbados and to Pan-African love.
The menu included inspired recipes from Jamaica, Barbados & Trinidad by Chef Grace including: Jerk Chicken & Festival, Brown Sugar Curry Wings, Bajan Fish Cakes, Escovitch Fish Spring Rolls, Roti w/ Chickpeas & Tamarind, Pickled Breadfruit Salad, Black & Rummy Bread Pudding w/ Turmeric-Ginger Ice-Cream & More
Chef Grace is Owner-Chef of Dining With Grace Catering where she highlights of uniqueness, connectivity and amazing flavors of Pan-African Cuisine.
